JEM Promotional Products Brings American Apparel Clothing ‘Buzz’ to Corporate Market

JEM Promotional Products Brings American Apparel Clothing ‘Buzz’ to Corporate Market

(PRWEB) July 18, 2008

JEM Promotional Products is injecting some fashion and flair into the promotional clothing industry by offering the stylish and ever-expanding American Apparel range to its clients. Gone are the days where promotional or branded apparel needs to be dated and dull; with the American Apparel range, JEM is combining retail quality with eclectic styling to revolutionise promotional clothing.

American Apparel will become your new favourite promotional clothing brand with the wholesale range constantly being updated; offering more styles, sizes and colours than any other blank garment brand in Australia. The American Apparel range caters for men, women, children and infants, with a massive range of clothing and accessories including t-shirts, jackets, shorts, pants and even an organic clothing range.

American Apparel holds the largest basics product line in the USA with over 20,000 SKUs. The wholesale range consists of over 170 different products spanning over 80 colours, making it simple to find an American Apparel garment that will compliment your design. American Apparel dyes all of its fabrics in their LA factory, matching each garment to a specific Pantone colour. This ensures that the colour remains consistent from one order to the next and also makes it easy to align your branded apparel with your corporate guidelines.

The American Apparel clothing range is 100% designed and manufactured in Los Angeles. The fabrics are manufactured to be softer and higher in quality than competing brands. They use a high count of longer, more desirable fibres; with the thread woven tightly to produce a fine knit, resulting in a premium product that is ideal for all corporate branding, in particular screen printing.

The American Apparel label is rapidly expanding across the US and making a big splash in the global fashion industry. There are already over 180 American Apparel retail stores spanning 4 continents, and they are launching their second Australian retail store in Sydney this month; which is great news for the corporate market. The hype surrounding the new stores and the American Apparel retail presence in Sydney has already increased the strong awareness of this popular clothing brand in the marketplace.

American Apparel’s ‘Legalise LA’ campaign and their environmental and industrial relations initiatives make it the brand of choice for organisations that are conscious of making sustainable choices with their business purchases.

Greensource Wins Apparel Sustainability Award, Is Ranked World’s 9th Largest Organic Cotton User

Greensource Wins Apparel Sustainability Award, Is Ranked World’s 9th Largest Organic Cotton User

David Basson of Greensource and Jordan Speer of Apparel Magazine

Seattle, WA (Vocus) April 1, 2009

Seattle-based apparel designer and manufacturer Greensource was named a “Sustainability All-Star” March 24, 2009, by Apparel magazine a leading publication for global apparel executives. Company President David Basson accepted the award at Apparel’s Tech Conference West at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Irvine, CA.

In addition, according to the Organic Exchange Organic Cotton Market Report 2008 released March 31, 2009, Greensource ranked as the 9th largest user of organic cotton in the world for its “Greensource” and “Re-Gen” (Recycled Generation) branded apparel. If the company’s considerable private label production for major retailers, including Walmart (“Faded Glory”) and Kmart (“Route 66″), was taken into account, the company would actually rank much higher.

The editors of Apparel noted that Greensource’s “field-to-shelf involvement in creating a more eco-friendly supply chain is particularly focused on keeping toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and defoliants out of the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breathe.”

Greensource grows its own organic cotton crop, builds schools for its workers’ children, uses only organic cotton and other sustainable fibers, and certified all five of its manufacturing facilities to the new Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by Control Union between 2007 and 2008. These mills are some of the front-runners worldwide to gain certification. In addition, the company uses an online system enabling shoppers to input a code found on a garment label and track the garment’s voyage from the field to the store. Other recipients of the award were American Apparel, Levi Strauss, Patagonia, and T.S. Designs.

According to the Organic Exchange report, global retail sales of organic cotton apparel and home textile products reached an estimated $ 3.2 billion in 2008. This represents a 63 percent increase from the $ 1.9 billion market in 2007. The top ten organic cotton-using brands and retailers globally were Wal-Mart (USA), C&A (Belgium), Nike (USA), H&M (SE), Zara (Spain), Anvil (USA), Coop Switzerland, Pottery Barn (USA), Greensource (USA), and Hess Natur (Germany).

About Greensource:

Greensource, a trend-forward apparel design and manufacturing company based in Seattle, WA, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of private-label and branded apparel and home products made with organic cotton. OrganicInStock.com, a division of Greensource, is a large supplier of certified organic cotton blank T-shirts for the men’s, women’s, and children’s markets.
