The Balancing Act and Flower Shop Network Unlock Secret of Sending Flowers Online

Ferndale, WA (PRWEB) October 6, 2008

Lifetime Television on Thursday October 9th at 7:00am est will air a segment from The Balancing Act with Flower Shop Network concerning sending flowers online.

Women today are busier than ever. Caught between work and home often in a place far away from family and friends, women need a place to turn to for help. The Internet has become the place they turn to for communication, shopping and gift giving. With the use of the Internet as a way to balance their time and shopping needs, this program discusses the way to save time and money using a floral directory while avoiding the pitfalls of buying flowers online. With the current economy, saving money is a priority and using great tools like the Internet are beneficial. But with every great tool there can be drawbacks. This segment examines the advantages of directly contacting a local florist through an online floral directory like Flower Shop Network, whose members are real local florists with brick and mortar locations.

This segment details the advantages of sending flowers using a local florist:

How to use flowers as a way to communicate with loved ones.
How your dollar value is greater than when you go through a middleman.
How to avoid order gathers.
How to confirm that they are true local florists.
How to ask questions in order to receive the best value and service.

The Balancing Act demonstrates the quick and easy way to order flowers online with the Flower Shop Network floral directory, taking the guesswork out of the equation by verifying the location and quality of the florists.

The Wedding Flower Shop Announces Their Debut on the World Wide Web

Coeur d’Alene, ID (PRWEB) June 12, 2008

The Wedding Flower Shop, a division of The Grower’s Box, LLC which specializes in the procurement and shipping of fresh cut wedding flowers, announces their grand opening on the World Wide Web.

In 2007, the average cost of a wedding soared to over $ 28,000. The increasing cost of weddings coupled with a sluggish economy makes the timely launch of The Wedding Flower Shop – a grower-direct online flower shop – a breath of fresh air in the wedding flower industry.

The Wedding Flower Shop caters specifically to the budget conscious and do-it-yourself (DIY) brides. The e-commerce store offers a complete catalog of wedding-in-a-box packages consisting of the most popular fresh-cut wedding flowers and foliage. Customers can purchase flowers at costs traditionally reserved for retail florists and meet their wedding flower desires without compromising their wedding budgets.

The benefits of ordering wedding flowers online extend far beyond the fact that customers receive more wedding flowers for less. Customers receive flowers which are shipped directly from the farms – ensuring a fresher flower.

The Wedding Flower Shop is an Internet-based, customer-oriented, and service-driven company. Customers can place their orders online or work with a Wedding Flower Shop consultant who can assist with answering questions regarding the type and quantity of wedding flowers needed for their special day.

1300 Flowers Develops Direct Florist Network

1300 Flowers Develops Direct Florist Network

Melbourne, Victoria (PRWEB) July 3, 2009

In order to arrange the delivery of the freshest flowers at great value, 1300 Flowers is building a network of direct florists across the country from capital cities to regional centres. This direct network is planned for completion by the end of July 2009 and is projected to cover over 90% of their entire flower deliveries. A significant benefit of this direct network is the support of local Australian florists which in turn supports Australian growers. The other added environmental benefit is a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint versus a business model which uses imported flowers as its principal source of product.

Within the delivered flower market in Australia, the two most frequent customer issues are around the quality of the flowers and the dependability of delivery. Therefore, the development of a direct network of Australian florists will greatly reduce the causes of both types of these customer issues.

To ensure product quality, all the flower arrangements within the 1300 Flowers range are designed by florists within their own direct network and all direct florists are given detailed flower arrangement guides for their entire range. In addition, the business has a sophisticated online flower management system that has the capability to track all orders from initial customer order to make up and despatch by each individual direct florist.

The direct florist network model allows 1300 Flowers to give critical mass to each direct florist so they can optimise delivery, whether this is through their own delivery vans or through the use of a trusted courier service. From a customer service and relationship perspective, 1300 Flowers takes full responsibility for every order of flowers and gifts. The friendly 1300 Flowers team deals directly with their customers to receive and action feedback in a professional and prompt manner.

So whether 1300 Flowers customers send flowers to friends, family or colleagues through the online web site or through the telephone, they can be assured that the new network of direct florists will create beautiful and fresh flower arrangements that will be delivered reliably. The team at 1300 Flowers stand by this promise.

About 1300 FLOWERS

1300 Flowers is a passionate Australian owned business that delivers fresh, quality flowers and related gifts across Australia. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

London (PRWEB) 4 October 2005 – Online florist Serenata Flowers has won a regional Customer Care award in the Department of Trade and Industry and InterForum’s seventh annual E-Commerce awards. The accolade was for the company web site’s online customer service enhancements.

Serenata flowers are sourced from the finest growers around the world, groomed with fastidious care, fashioned to perfection and elegantly transported to their destination in the shortest possible time. This recently acquired award is testimony to the fact that the online florist treats its customers with the same exemplary level of care as it does its flowers.

E-Commerce awards recognise small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK that demonstrate excellence in the use of the internet and information and communication technologies to improve their business performance. Offering live assistance that allows customers to chat in real time with a floral expert, prompt responses to emails and online order tracking, Serenata Flowers online customer service center has certainly embraced the possibilities of technology to deliver an impressive shopping experience.

Website navigation is intuitive and efficient, with the flowers organised into practical categories by occasion, style, colour and sentiment. Visitors to this online florist can easily find the perfect arrangement. Whether pot plant, bouquet or hand-tied bunch, each product is enthusiastically described alongside a triptych of photographs that proves the craft of Serenata’s florists is far from one-dimensional.

After logging in, recipients can follow their flowers’ journey from Serenata to their front door, choose preferred delivery dates and save time with prepopulated check-out fields – a two-step process that facilitates speedy checkout with the assurance of safe, secure shopping verified by Thawte and Square Trade.

In addition, Serenata’s online florist customers are able to set up a web-based account where they can store their details, delivery addresses and important dates as well as access an archive of past orders.

Everybody’s Talking about ArtisticFlowerArrangements.com ‘Flower Forum’

Everybody’s Talking about ArtisticFlowerArrangements.com ‘Flower Forum’

Monterey, TN (PRWEB) September 9, 2008

http://www.ArtisticFlowerArrangments.com announces the launch of it’s new flower discussion forum, called “Flower Forum,” on their Web site. Site visitors will be able to post questions regarding making flower arrangements, types of flowers, meanings of flowers, names of flowers, and more. The forum will also feature an expert botanist (beginning 15 September) to address questions from forum posters.

“Creating a flower discussion forum is a response to how people thirst for knowledge about flowers. People like to discuss everything from balsam Christmas wreaths to simple wedding bouquets. Now we make it easy to do it all in one place and in an interactive way,” says Judith Babb, owner of ArtisticFlowerArrangements.com.

Babb is also the author of “Flower Arrangements Made Simple.” She has over 15 years of experience in flower arranging and has made it her mission to teach others the art of flower arranging. Her experience is vast and includes wedding bouquets, wreaths, holiday arrangements, and everyday gift-giving flower arrangements. Seen as an expert in the field, she has chosen to team up with Dr. William J. Hess, a botanist and former biology instructor at several national universities. He also worked for the Morton Arboretum. Dr. Hess is knowledgeable in all areas of botany, and specializes in Native American plants.

“There are many types of flowers and many beautiful ways to arrange them,” says Babb. “Purchasing pre-made flower arrangements can be costly. When someone learns to arrange the flowers themselves, they save money, create beautiful arrangements, and gain the satisfaction of knowing that they did it themselves. Our forum makes all of that easier.”

Online Florist Beyond Blossoms Announces New Blog About Flowers

Online Florist Beyond Blossoms Announces New Blog About Flowers

Wilmington, MA (PRWEB) October 15, 2005

Online florist Beyond Blossoms (http://www.beyondblossoms.com) has started a blog to talk about what else, but flowers. The blog is not just for people who want to send flowers, but as a place to provide unusual and interesting information about all things floral, from flower gardening tips to art exhibits featuring flowers, to fun facts about flowers.

With all the talk recently about blogs, Beyond Blossoms co-founders Josh Grossman and Gina Maschek wanted to position their company as on the cutting edge. Josh says, “Creating the blog is a way to make the website more than just a place to buy flowers. It’s a way to interact with customers and hopefully provide content that they find informative, useful, and even funny,” referring to one post about a man who planted flowers in, of all things, a toilet.

The company is willing to write about anything and everything related to flowers. Recent posts include a new computer game about flowers, England’s effort to improve public bathrooms with fresh flowers, how to plant fall flowers, and rare orchids found in Idaho.

“Beyond Blossoms chose to develop a blog in order to enhance the overall experience customers have when they come to our website to buy fresh flowers,” says Grossman. “A flower blog helps communicate our company’s love for flowers and deepen our brand’s connection with customers. The more interesting content we can provide, the more enjoyable our site will become to visitors. Since the blog is updated every day, we hope customers find it worth reading on a continual basis.” Grossman hopes the blog will become a gathering place for readers passionate about flowers and sees the blog as a way to differentiate Beyond Blossoms from the competition, demonstrate their expertise, and gain mindshare with the consumer.

Grossman and Maschek founded Beyond Blossoms in 2003. The idea for the company “flowered” when they needed to write a business plan for an entrepreneurship class in grad school. “We were looking for a business that would allow us to be creative and sell something that people love. Flowers are the perfect item,” Grossman states. After graduating, the two began operations.

Knowing it faces stiff competition from the well-known flower companies, Beyond Blossoms continually tries to improve the experience customers have when they buy flowers online. The flowers come from growers around the world and are guaranteed to be fresh. They feature both single variety flowers, such as roses and lilies fresh in the bud stage, as well as elegant European style, hand-tied, mixed flowers – all at affordable prices. Unlike other online florists, Beyond Blossoms specifies the exact flowers in each bouquet, so the buyer knows exactly what they will receive with each order. Besides the blog, the company features a flower picture contest, its favorite flower quotes, flower biology, and the meanings of various flowers.

Beyond Blossoms chose internet marketing firm Radiant Marketing Group (http://www.radiantmarketinggroup.com) to assist them in the design and development of the blog.

Beyond Blossoms offers elegant hand-tied fresh flowers from the grower. Visit its website at http://www.beyondblossoms.com. The blog can be found at http://www.beyondblossoms.com/blog.

1300 Flowers in Bloom across Australia

1300 Flowers in Bloom across Australia

Melbourne, Victoria (PRWEB) June 3, 2009

1300 Flowers has relaunched their brand with a combination of outdoor billboards, a television commercial and ambient activity. While competitors tend to commoditise flowers, focusing on cutting costs and cheapening the flower, the new brand direction for 1300 Flowers is about building a position of celebrating the flower.

Leading up to Mother’s day, 1300 Flowers began the brand relaunch with ambient advertising for PA Day, where they turned street lights and signs into flowers by attaching what looked like leaves on the poles in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne CBD areas. On one side they simply printed PA Day and on the other 1300 Flowers. The activity sparked interest from the key markets and helped with the lead up to Mother’s Day.

For their outdoor advertising a series of unbranded billboards were put up in key locations around the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne regions. These outdoor campaigns came in two phases, the teaser and the reveal. For the teaser, flower illustrations of closed buds on wood grain backgrounds were displayed with no branding. After 4-5 days came the reveal, where the flowers in the illustrations bloomed and the brand was revealed. The billboards, managed by Ooh Media, received a number of calls when only the unbranded teasers were up so the campaign was successful in generating the interest it was intended to create. Once the flowers were revealed the ads beatified the space around them with the vibrant colours and natural ambience the illustrations bring. These elements helped communicate the new direction of celebrating the flower for 1300 Flowers.

The Television Ad for Mother’s day celebrated the beauty of flowers by simply showing a lily and watching it bloom slowly throughout the ad. There was also a smaller flower in the ad, symbolising the mother / child relationship, the smaller flower bloomed later but more quickly than the larger flower. This was combined with music by Yazoo, “Only You” and the key messages revealed at the end – “Mum”, followed by the new 1300 Flowers brand and website. The ads were shown in Sydney and Melbourne on Channel 9, encouraging viewers to send flowers in the lead up to Mother’s day.

From all this activity 1300 Flowers has begun to bloom, seeing positive growth in the Sydney and Melbourne markets where the marketing activity has been strongest while their home state of Queensland continues to grow steadily. 1300 Flowers will continue to celebrate the flower in the future and continue to strengthen the brand across Australia.

New Alliance Between FedEx And South American Flower Farms Prolongs The Life Of Fresh Cut Flowers For Retailers And Consumers

New Alliance Between FedEx And South American Flower Farms Prolongs The Life Of Fresh Cut Flowers For Retailers And Consumers

MIAMI, FL (PRWEB) October 29, 2004

When purchasing fresh cut flowers from a local florist or abroad, consumers are often disappointed due to the “very short” life of a flower after purchase.

Whether the flowers were delivered to communicate romance, sympathy or just to let a friend know someone cares, the very brief life of the flowers can quickly put a damper on the occasion – sometimes the very same day!

There have been incidents where the fresh flowers used to decorate a wedding had wilted before the guests arrived, putting all of the beautiful decor to shame. Special occasions such as these can’t be risked with flowers that have lived through three to ten days of shipping and handling before reaching a local florist, and then have a shelf life of two days or more before reaching their final destination.

Most floral product consumers are unaware that this is the case with 80 percent of fresh floral products in America. The flowers are normally imported from countries such as Columbia and Ecuador, shortening the vase life of the flowers tremendously. This explains the short vase life of flowers after a purchase.

Now, thanks to an alliance between Federal Express and South American flower farms, consumers and local florists can purchase flowers in bulk directly from the green code farm in South America, and add many days to the life of their flower products. The beauty of flowers can now be preserved for the occasion, not for the cooler.

Creating this alliance has prompted the foundation for a new, innovative way to purchase flowers online. Flowers may now be purchased and shipped directly from the South American flower farms, and the fresh cut flowers are delivered within 48 hours of their harvest. This eliminates the fear of “dead flowers” at special occasions.

Florists, designers, retailers, churches, schools and many other institutional and consumer flower buyers may learn more about how the process works by visiting the following website: http://www.flowerfarmstogo.com/

For an interview or more information, please contact Miguel Saavedra at 7550 NW 72nd Ave., Miami, Fl 33122, or call 305-471-0013 or email: miguels@flowerdealers.com

E-FlowerBulbs.com Provides an Overview of Flower Bulbs

E-FlowerBulbs.com Provides an Overview of Flower Bulbs

(PRWEB) August 20, 2005

According to E-FlowerBulbs.com, flowers are one of nature’s greatest gifts. Their scent, their colors, their shapes… everything about flowers is beautiful. A colorful, cheerful flower can brighten even the darkest day. Even more enjoyable than looking at flowers, though, is growing them.

Growing flowers outdoors from bulbs is simple; in fact, it is so easy that it’s almost foolproof. One of the most important aspects is timing. Bulbs need to be planted about six weeks before the first frost. Bulbs must be planted in an area with good drainage and a lot of sun. Make sure the soil is loose, and then plant the bulbs about six inches in the ground. (Package directions may vary depending on type and location; when directions differ, following your package.) Try to place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up. Cover the hole and water. Voila! You’ve planted your flower bulbs.

E-FlowerBulbs.com also tells us that flower bulbs and seeds make flower gardens accessible for everyone. They can be grown virtually anywhere. One idea is to plant them in containers. With container gardens, even apartment dwellers can enjoy the beauty of flowers. Container-grown flower bulbs and seeds also allow growers to defy nature. Flower bulbs can be planted indoors in any season and in any climate, as long as the indoor conditions are favorable for growth.

Flower bulbs are available in many varieties, such as tulips, daffodils, gladiolus, and crocus.

About e-flowerbulbs.com

Flower Bulbs provides detailed information on wholesale, discount, spring, summer, and fall flower bulbs for sale, flower bulb catalog and company information, and advice on planting flower bulbs.
