Sports Memorabilia and Sports News Site Launches, Providing Enthusiasts with Exhilarating Sporting Experience

Sports Memorabilia and Sports News Site Launches, Providing Enthusiasts with Exhilarating Sporting Experience

Coral Springs, FL (PRWEB) December 6, 2005

Sports enthusiasts can now find top-quality signed sports memorabilia, sports news feeds, name brand outdoor sporting goods and interactive forums all in one convenient location. Sports Player Network (SPN), a total-sports-experience online portal, today made its official Internet debut. Sports collectors and fans who would like to get the most out of their hobby can visit the company online at http://www.SportsPlayer.net.

A 2004 USA Today article titled “Ex-player seeks honesty in memorabilia sales” revealed a startling statistic about the annual $ 3 billion sports collectibles industry. That is, federal officials estimate that anywhere from 50 to 90 percent of sports memorabilia items are fake. With no federal authentication process in place, the verification onus falls on the world’s 16.7 million sports collectors. SportsPlayer.net aims to take this burden off the collector’s shoulders by providing them with only the highest quality sports memorabilia.

While site visitors can purchase sports memorabilia that has been signed by the biggest names in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing and extreme sports as well as movie star autographs from vendors like Steiner Sports and All About Autographs, it bears noting that SPN is not simply a shopping site. Daily sports news feeds, a weekly published newsletter chock full of informative articles and a user forum are just some of the other interactive features SPN visitors will find.

SPN isn’t just for sports nuts, however. It also caters to sports-related devotees. In particular, outdoor enthusiasts will find name brand products like Ghillie Stealth Suits and other outdoor sporting products. As a Department of Defense key supplier, Ghillie is a trusted manufacturer of fine camouflage apparel.

In the very near future, SPN plans to release even more enhancements, each one designed to make it the total sports destination. Upcoming features include Upper Deck signed memorabilia, nutrition products, USAopoly sports games and other non-signed collectibles from name brand suppliers like Riddell, Reebok and Frenzy NCAA.

For more information on SPN, contact Bob Rardin toll-free at (877) 638-3634 or email him at sales@sportsplayer.net. To learn how to network with other fans, read the latest sports news and experience better peace of mind about sports memorabilia purchases, visit the company online at http://www.SportsPlayer.net .

Schutt Sports, Bethlehem Sporting Goods Enter into Dramatic New Partnership

Schutt Sports, Bethlehem Sporting Goods Enter into Dramatic New Partnership

Easton, PA (PRWEB) May 2, 2008

Schutt Reconditioning, of Easton, PA and a division of Schutt Sports, Inc. has entered into a landmark marketing and distribution agreement with Bethlehem Sporting Goods of Bethlehem, PA. Schutt Reconditioning is one of the world’s premier reconditioners of athletic equipment, while Bethlehem Sporting Goods is one of the regions most widely known and successful sporting goods dealers.

The new partnership will leverage assets of both Schutt Reconditioning and Bethlehem Sporting Goods, enhancing product lines and services for both companies.

“With this new partnership, we’ll be able to offer our existing customers many of the great products that Bethlehem has always offered their customers, like uniforms and other apparel,” says Craig Scott, of Schutt Reconditioning.

For their part, Bethlehem Sporting Goods will now be able to enhance the product lines and services they offer to their customers, as well.

“We’re excited to be part of the first true partnering relationship between manufacturer and dealer in the industry,” says George Kline, Jr. of Bethlehem Sporting Goods. “Many manufacturers talk about “partner,” but with this new program with Schutt, we are bringing that concept into reality.”

The efforts of both companies will produce a new selling and distribution system, with more robust product offerings and a higher level of service to customers. Bethlehem has long been a Team Dealer for Schutt Sports, Inc., but this new partnership is a move designed to solidify the strategy of Schutt Reconditioning to bring products and services to market.

“What we’re doing with Bethlehem is the embodiment of what we believe is the heart and soul of our “go-to-market” strategy – true team dealer partnerships,” says Scott. “We have always focused on this strategy and we’ll continue to focus on the core relationship we have with our Team Dealers.”

The new partnership will result in a collective, effective and efficient selling system to meet the ever-changing needs of teams, leagues, organizations and institutions in the region.

MPs Sweat it Out for Sport Relief

MPs Sweat it Out for Sport Relief

(PRWEB) June 20, 2006

Minister for Sport Richard Caborn was among a whole team of MPs and members of the House of Lords who came together today to complete the Westminster Mile and raise money for Sport Relief.

More than 70 Houses of Parliament members swapped their suits for shorts, trainers and their first Sport Relief red sock before going the distance around St James’s Park.

The MPs and Peers were in great company; starters’ orders came from legendary four-minute miler Sir Roger Bannister and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Tessa Jowell. First past the post was Labour MP Jim Murphy with a winning time of 5mins 22seconds, four seconds faster than his 2004 Westminster Mile record. Hot on his heals were Willie Rennie MP and Tom Brake MP.

Everyone put their best feet forward to help vulnerable people here in the UK and some of the world’s poorest countries, supported by Sport Relief. They are now calling on the rest of the nation to Go The Extra Mile and sign-up for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on 15 July.

Richard Caborn, Minister for Sport, said: “This has been a fantastic event. It is great to see so many of my Parliamentary colleagues getting their trainers on and stretching their legs for Sport Relief. Whether running or walking, I hope everyone has just enjoyed taking part and raising money for such a good cause.”

To see the slightly rosy-faced MPs and Peers together with tens of thousands of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Milers in action you can tune into Sport Relief on BBC ONE, 15 July. Highlights will be part of The Sport Relief Mile show (10:30am – 12:00pm) presented by John Inverdale and The Night (19:00 – 00:30), presented by Chris Evans, Davina McCall, and Gary Lineker.
